Contact information
Did you know that web-crawling programs scan the net looking for strings that look like email addresses, storing them to be sold in mailing lists for spam? It’s a fact. So it’s a bad idea to put any email address in plain text on a web page, and a very bad idea to use mailto options in HTML tags. That’s why I write down my email address like this:
my first initial
myLastInitial
AT
my-last-name
“dot”
O R G
And remember, anytime you’re sending email to a large group, please either use the “BCC” field and not the “To” field!
